The mission of Montana's Boys and Girls Clubs is to inspire all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Goals: To accurately asses all 18 Montana Boys and Girls Clubs.
Create an accessible database of the inventory information.
Develop a strong Resource Development plan to propose to the January legislature.
Identify potential funding resources.
Establish an effective communication system between the clubs and the alliance.

Mission: The Montana Mental Health Association (MMHA) is a nonprofit organization whose primary focus is educating and advocating for the mental health of all Montanans.
Goals: With the MMHA and the state of Montana, identify communities that are ready to engage in youth-directed suicide prevention activities. Work with communities to identify youth leaders for the project. Provide education and training in mental health and suicide risk factors to youth participants and adult leaders. Assist youth in developing communications plans for peers in their communities. Provide training for youth coalitions in resource development, leadership, succession planning, running meetings, and building coalitions. Develop and implement evaluation tools for coalition and program effectiveness. Attend suicide prevention coalition meetings and required trainings.

Mission: Provide an opportunity for those citizens age 55 and over to engage in meaningful service to meet critical community needs.
Goals: Increase the number of volunteers and community members participating in healthy activities in Cascade County communities.
At-Risk Youth Program (Website)Current VISTA:
Mission: Our mission is to match volunteers age 55 and older in organizations to meet local community needs in Cascde, Choteau and Teton counties and to promote volunteerism at avery age.
Goals: mobilize volunteers to work with youth to reduce their risk factors and build their assets (the 40 assets), provide the opportunity for youth to serve in the community through community service projects with local organizations, provide the opportunity for intergenerational projects to take place, have 1000 volunteers enrolled in the program (currently there are around 900 volunteers)

Wheatland Memorial Healthcare
Wellness ProgramCurrent VISTA:
Mission: Responsive to the healthcare needs of the communities we serve, Wheatland Memorial Healthcare is dedicated to providing sustainable quality care with respect, compassion and teamwork. Wheatland Memorial Healthcare is a critical access hospital which partners with a community coalition, the Partnership for Youth,encompassing the county extension office, the high school, the ministerial association, chamber of commerce, parents and volunteers.
Goals: The role of the VISTA will be to create an awareness of ¿wellness¿ in the community and to coordinate and organize resources/services and design a wellness program that is sustainable. To involve the community and utilize available resources more effectively and efficiently.
A healthcare needs assessment survey was conducted last fall which indicated heart disease as a top healthcare problem and a significant need in Harlowton for weight management services or some form of exercise program elicited through a wellness center survey conducted last year. The Partnership For Youth and a representative from Wheatland Memorial Hospital met the County Extension Agent to address this ongoing need.

Florence Crittenton Home
Outreach Coordinator-Family Resource Center (Website)Current VISTA:
Mission: Florence Crittenton is a nonprofit organization that cares for pregnant and parenting young women looking to build a better life for themselves and their babies.
60% of the VISTA¿s time would be spent helping Florence Crittenton achieve its goal in opening a Family Resource Center for Outreach Services. The Center would provide services to at risk families in the Helena area and help to prevent child abuse and neglect. Time allotted to this scope of work is dependent on the receipt of grant funding.
40% of the VISTA¿s time would be spent on building agency infrastructure to track outcomes and gain feedback from clients. This will enable Florence Crittenton to measure and report on outcomes and successes of young women served in our residential program, and other at-risk parents served in our outreach programs. This feedback will help ensure that services are constantly improved. The agency will also be better positioned to market their services to young women and at-risk families in Helena and regionally with the benefit of this knowledge.Goals: To increase knowledge of community needs so that services to the at risk parenting population can be increased in Helena.

Mission: A priority vision for the Helena Citizens Council is to re-establish and revitalize the grassroots, neighborhood council structure that is put forth in the HCC organizational bylaws.
Goals: The VISTA will serve as a catalyst to address this community need by:
Providing technical assistance and training to local neighborhood councils and community leaders that will lead to the creation of sustainable neighborhood councils of local citizens that would be empowered to address these needs
Provide technical assistance to neighborhood councils to raise funds to help address neighborhood blight projects, this may include local service funds, public or private grants, and local fundraising events
Provide technical assistance to neighborhood councils to train citizens about how to advocate for community needs
